To ensure the smooth operation of our programs and fair scheduling for both students and teachers, we maintain the following Refund and Cancellation Policy.

 

This policy applies to all language programs, packages, trial classes, and digital products purchased through our website or payment partners, including HitPay.

 

 

1. No-Refund Policy

Polished Speaker follows a strict no-refund policy for all purchases, including lesson packages, trial classes, self-paced programs, and subscription-based services.

Once payment has been successfully made, the student gains access to scheduling, tutor assignments, curriculum materials, and operational resources. Therefore, all payments are final and non-refundable.

2. Class Rescheduling Policy

We understand that schedules may change. To support student flexibility, Polished Speaker allows indefinite rescheduling within the validity period of the purchased package.

 

Rescheduling Rules:

1. Students may reschedule a class at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.

2. Late cancellations or missed classes without prior notice will be forfeited.

3. Teachers will make reasonable efforts to accommodate reschedule requests, subject to tutor availability.

4. If a student repeatedly reschedules or displays scheduling abuse, Polished Speaker reserves the right to decline further rescheduling requests.

3. Package Validity Period

Every language package has a defined validity window (e.g., 2 or 3 months). Classes must be completed within the package validity period. Any unused sessions after expiration will be automatically voided.​

Polished Speaker is not obligated to extend package validity unless:

• An official system error occurred, OR

• A teacher cancellation caused the delay.

 

Extensions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

4. Teacher Cancellations & Emergencies

If a tutor is unable to conduct a scheduled class due to emergency or unavoidable circumstances:

• A substitute teacher will be assigned, or

• The class will be rescheduled at no extra cost to the student.

 

Students will not lose any lessons due to teacher absence.

5. Student Cancellations & No Shows

If a student misses a class without proper notice:

• The session will be marked as completed/forfeited.

• The lesson cannot be rescheduled or refunded.

 

This ensures fairness to teachers, who prepare and reserve time for each student.

6. Technical Issues

Technical difficulties may happen. Please refer to the following guidelines:

Student-side Technical Issues

If a student experiences connectivity problems, device malfunctions, or related issues:

• They must notify the teacher immediately.

• Rescheduling may be permitted only at the discretion of Polished Speaker, based on severity and proof of issue.

Teacher-side Technical Issues

 

If the issue originates from the teacher or from Polished Speaker’s system:

• The session will be rescheduled without charge, OR

• A substitute teacher will be provided.

7. Trial Lessons

 

Trial lessons are offered at a discounted price (50% off).

All trial lesson payments are non-refundable, regardless of attendance.

Students may reschedule their trial class once if notice is given at least 24 hours in advance.

8. Digital Products & Self-Paced Courses

All digital offerings (e.g., recorded lessons, self-paced modules, downloadable materials) are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased, as students gain immediate access to proprietary content.

9. Payment Processing & Disputes

Polished Speaker processes payments through secure channels, including HitPay and other verified payment systems.

• Chargebacks or payment disputes filed without first contacting us may lead to account suspension.

• Students agree to resolve any concerns directly with Polished Speaker before initiating a dispute.

10. Program Changes & Policy Updates

Polished Speaker may update program structures, tutor availability, schedules, teaching methods, or this policy at any time to improve service quality.

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
